Becoming a Successful Communicator

Successful communication is a complex and often difficult process.  There are no "black and white" rules that will guarantee your communication is 100% error proof.  However, a broader understanding of the critical habits required to improve communication, inevitably leads to greater awareness and perception of what it takes to become a successful communicator. 

This half-day course will enable participants to identify problem areas that hinder their success as a first-rate communicator. Participants will also develop a personal action plan to assist them in overcoming the most common obstacles to successful communication.

Objectives:

Upon completion, each participant will be able to understand & apply:

  • The fundamentals of communication

  • The communication model

  • Barriers to successful communication

  • Effective listening skills

  • Verbal & Nonverbal messaging

  • Principles for sending and receiving messages

  • Do's and don'ts of critical feedback
