Objective

It is to enable participants to increase their awareness and understanding of workplace diversity.

Topics can include: 

  • Determining how assumptions, perceptions, attitudes and stereotypes of self and others can influence interpersonal relationships.

  • Defining the dimensions of workplace diversity.

  • Applying business rationale for valuing, accepting and managing workplace diversity.

  • Using employee differences to achieve goals and objectives through self-assessments that can include the Personal Profile System (DISC), the Discovering Diversity Profile and the Thomas-Kilman Conflict Mode Instrument.

  • Action Planning for on-the-job applications.
