Objectives

They are to enable People of Color and to learn critical management, leadership and organizational skills needed to become more valued employees.

What you will cover

The topics include:

  • Identifying management and leadership challenges and opportunities for the 21st Century.

  • Developing strategies for win/win relationships with management, peers and employees.

  • Applying interpersonal communications skills to enhance relationships with others.

  • Empowering self and others toward goal accomplishments.

  • Learning and practicing motivation, management and leadership principles and behaviors for improved organizational effectiveness.

  • Learning the stages of change and how to manage it.

  • Assessing how one’s work-related behaviors from the Personal Profile System (DISC) can improve productivity.

  • Action Planning for on-the-job applications.

Who Should Attend?

People of color who are leaders, managers, supervisors and high potentials  

NOTE:  Any manager, leader or supervisor who is not a person of color and who has a need or desire to learn more about how people of color can succeed in their organizations is encouraged to attend.

A:      Yes! The knowledge and skills are the same for all managers and leaders.  However, and over a decade ago, this highly successful seminar was designed especially to enable People of Color (or African Americans) to become more effective in leading and managing others.  In addition, the participants learn and practice how to handle the subtle and often overt forms of racism they may encounter at work. This additional building block is absent from traditional management seminars.

           Today, all People of Color from around the world are encouraged to attend because global racism is becoming more of a business issue every day.

Q:      Can Whites attend this course?

A:      YES!  Anyone who is interested in learning about ways to
