Elizabeth Tarner

Elizabeth I. Tarner, Ed.D. is a training and staff development expert with a diverse background as a manager, instructor, training specialist, instructional designer, and facilitator.  Liz has over 25 years’ experience in education/organization and staff development.  She is a consultant and trainer in business communications, customer service, leadership and management to corporations, businesses and government agencies.    

Some of her clients include COMSAT, the CIA, CSX Intermodal, Marriott International and the Internal Revenue Service.  She is a published author.  Liz was selected as one of 30 key women educators from the US to attend an Executive Education program at the University of Texas. 

Liz holds a doctorate in education from Virginia Tech, a MS in Curriculum and Instruction in English and Writing from Virginia Tech, and a BS in French and English from Shippensburg University (PA). She is a 1997 graduate of the Executive Education program at the University of Texas at Austin.  The December 1999 issue of Training and Development magazine featured an article she co-authored, “Once Upon an HRD Book Club.”
