Heather Amberg-Anderson

Heather Anderson is Co-Founder of Leading Challenges, a leadership development company based in Stowe, VT. Heather's expertise is in systemic organizational development programs that focus primarily on building leadership skills and team skills throughout an organization. She has developed a comprehensive emotional intelligence (EQ) development program that includes EQ assessment, coaching, training and customized skill development.

Prior to starting Leading Challenges, LLC, Heather served as a performance consultant for Fidelity Investments Tax Exempt Services Company (FITSCo) in Marlborough, MA. As a performance consultant, Heather developed and facilitated various training programs on: team effectiveness, work style diversity, negotiation and selling skills, influence skills, change management and emotional intelligence. She developed and delivered an organization-wide performance management system while at FITSCo. She also acted as a management consultant and coach for one of FITSCO's largest business units

Heather also founded Team Dynamics, a company dedicated to long-term team development. Heather's knowledge and experience in leadership and team development was developed while a lead facilitator with Pecos River Learning Center and a corporate trainer with Outward Bound in Leadville, Colorado.

Heather attended the University of California at Santa Barbara (UCSB) where she earned a degree in economics. After graduating from UCSB, Heather attended the University of Colorado where she earned an MBA in Organizational Development.

A former Vail/Beaver Creek ski instructor and veteran of ten, fourteen thousand foot peak ascents, Heather remains active in life-long athletics. In February of 1999, she and her husband completed the third ever marathon in Antarctica. In 2001 she completed the five-day 105 mile Himalaya Stage Race and Mount Everest Challenge Marathon. She enjoys scuba diving, mountain biking, and skiing.

Heather lives in Stowe, Vermont with her husband Bob, daughter Sierra and their two Labrador Retrievers, Bleier and Boulder.
