Karen Marie Adams has over 20 years experience in Communication & Human Resource Development. All phases of communication performance and behavior including:
Karen
Marie begins with the end in mind, and promotes a healthier
understanding of the whole person in relation to others and environment
in order to develop a solid foundation for lasting change and continued
personal growth. Without a
change in thinking—which is brought on by increased
understanding—there is no change in attitude or action.
Karen-Marie promotes personal involvement in her seminars and
training in order to affect a change in thinking, which leads to
results. Originally
from the Champlain Valley, in up-state, New York, Karen Marie returned
to the region about ten years ago after nineteen years in the
Philadelphia and Washington DC areas.
Her education includes a degree from Trinity College &
University, a paralegal degree from The American Institute for Legal
Studies, Leadership Development training from John Maxwell (previous to
and including the international InJoy Group he now heads), Leadership
Clinton, and numerous other programs of study.
In recent years she has implemented concepts found in in-depth
studies of ancient literature into modern parallels relating to the
issues of communication and the human condition.
She
is a member of the American Society of Training & Development,
formerly licensed by Performax
International and Carlson Learning. Her professional experience includes
Sales and Recruitment Training, Communication, Motivation, Team
Building, and Leadership Development, from a Fortune 500 to a non-profit
framework, and from small groups to large. Locally, she has been a
member of the Board of Directors of Friends of the North Country, and
former fundraising chairperson; facilitated leadership conferences and
other training for The Development Corporation; implemented and carried
out an eighteen month training program for the Department of Social
Services; served as a coach and consultant to numerous area businesses
and community organizations such as Nine Platt Hospitality Group, JCEO,
and, on a more integrated scale, The Federal Transportation Security
Administration, US Office of Homeland Security.
